hi barnsey, stain does look light on? but the pinstipes look killer...

most paints and stains will settle out, with solids and pigments sinking, when shaken everything re-incorpates happily, but, with age the mix can reach a point where the solids no longer incorperate. is the stain very old?

Thanks guvna, its a new stain kit, the last one did my first 2 guitars, and the colour came out great. Shook the bottle for a good 2 minutes, the liquid looked really watery in the cup
