On the Swampy Tele I have been so close to finished on a couple of occasions only to just scrape through to bare timber in a couple of spots. If it happens again could be very tempted to go bananas and create a reliced version instead.

Basswood is not so forgiving if you need to do a re-stain touch up section and wish you luck in that regard.
