This is going to be another variation on a jazz bass, mainly to trial some odd electronics for a separate build I'm going to do for my brother-in-law.
Pickups will be all passive but, as well as the jazz's I'm going to add an Entwhistle X3 guitar pickup right up near the neck. V/V/T for the jazz's and V/T for the Entwhistle.
The bass is going to have two output jacks based on the Rickenbacker basses where you can plug a mono cable into one jack or a stereo cable into the other. The mono jack will just put all 3 pickups together into one mono signal. The other one will use a stereo switching jack to split the signal into two separate paths - one signal will carry the jazz pickups output and the other the Entwhistle signal. I'll then be able to send the separate signals into different effects paths and/or amps
I'm actually cheating on the twin jack wiring bit and buying one of these:

Also a Pablo pickguard to cover all the new holes that the body will need.
Finish will probably be matte black or something simple like that.
Anyway, that's the plan, we'll see what happens, but it won;t be quick.
Here's a pic of the rough layout, i'll have to rout out the crosshatched bit at the back to feed the 2 jacks in.
