Thread: The PBG B46.....Behemoth bass and guitar kit.

The neck selector switch is designed to be centre off, as all the controls are tied to the selected neck and can't be shared. You will need to use a different layout if you want both necks on at the same time.

Are you getting any adjustment with both volumes when in the middle pickup selector position, and is this still with just the tap test? If wired as per the diagram it should work just like an LP, as in you can adjust the volumes to balance the sound but turning either volume to zero will mute all sound. Can you post some pics of the cavity, if you can get some showing your connections to the pots.

    Weirdy to the rescue.

The big switch works exactly as you say....one or the other not both....happy with that.

Out at work now...Super Uber.....I only have her to the tap phase.....I did notice that it is completely dead in the off position.

Will have to check partial volume....piccies.....wow it is a tight squeeze in there mate. Will try. Thank you. 😎

In regards to the necks, in the central position you should have no output. Its either one or the other or off going by that diagram, which honestly seems sensible, but I guess if you wanted to finger tap on both necks at the same time that would be a problem. I'm not entirely sure how to solve that as wiring both necks would mean using one or other of the volume and tone controls and might mess up their normal operation - unless you introduce a second switch for that scenario.
    Sonic...thanks for the reply.

I had to change a couple of earth paths as they either would not fit or too long a run.

I will check that all pots are earthed and connected.

    Thanks. 🎶

Morning research completed. It works exactly as you said weirdy....I have partial volume control on all pickups....but if I roll off the volume on one pot completely it kills everything.

    Nice....wiring is done.

Thank you guys so much. 😎🎶🎶

Yet another 12 hour shift starting at 12 midday.

Again...I have the morning to myself.

So photos of the control cavities for weirdy and interested others. (Took the pots out and spaced them to give a better clearance height with the knobs on the top.)

And....drum roll.....the necks are on. Nuts to go......and Bass bridge....woo hoo....getting close now.

    The necks

And here they are attached.....big grin inserted.

P.S. Note the difference in colour between wood....the guitar neck must be a different timber to the bass neck. Same stain done at the same time and same finishing clear coats. Amazing the difference the wood can make to colours.
