Great looking guitar Dedman, as always!
My one issue with these hollow body guitars is how difficult they must be to paint on the inside. This is obviously why people don't seem to to do it I guess!

Any finish on the inside of a guitar seems to be frowned upon and simply not done. There's nothing stopping acoustic guitars having finish applied to the insides during construction, but it rarely happens, even though it would help make them less vulnerable to temperature and humidity changes.

Maybe a paint finish is too reflective and makes the guitars sound too harsh? Though on something with F-holes, you need only spray the area below the F-hole, and you could always spray a stain, which won't add any extra sound reflections.

    Thanks guys

Simon, nearly no acoustics at all, the centre block is pretty wide (enough that a conventional bridge and tail piece would fit) so the cavities are tiny.

Zandit, the biggest prob is keeping the paint OUT, I did slop a bit of timbermate in when I was prepping and it soaked in, I'll make a label like I did on the ES5 and use it to cover my error :P

Yeah, I've seen some top end luthiers use a finish on the inside, but like you said, it's pretty rare. I just seems to stand put more on electrics with F holes, especially when they have painted finished, or coloured stains.

So what's wrong with the inlay? You mentioned in the GOTM post "Never Again!"
Was it just a hard job, or did you have issues?
