    Did you ever try to find the glue spots before you stained, by wetting the surface with turps or methylated spirit, and then removing them with Goof Off?

    To be honest, I didn't. But that is because there were some other glue spots visible even without wetting the surface and those spots drew my attention and I worked on them with water and a toothbrush to make them disappear. So when they were gone I never would expect that there were lots more glue spots...

    Anyway, this is my first build and also a learning process. Learn from mistakes and carry on

    That said, I have the feeling that the stain is doing its work on the glue spots. After the last picture I added some more stain and it looks as if the glue spots are becoming less visible. More pictures tomorrow!
