Hey wokka, yep alive and breathing

I'm waiting to hear back from Adam but thinking of doing a triple pup config by modifying the standard 2pup body. Just needing to know if there is space between the 2 pup config for a 3rd humbucker. Or worst case I do a single coil through the middle for something a bit different, even considering a Tele neck pup 😳😳
If I can cut in a 3rd humbucker (or just go with the single coil idea) I'm going to do push/pull pots having vol/tone for each pup and then master vol. I haven't been able to find any 5 way toggle switches so will have to go with the 5 way standard switch which I'll need to cut a slot for.
Going to do a black to purple fade with black back and sides. Maybe a purple neck for something different too. Or purple head and black neck.
So many ideas in my head!

I might start my thread now cause it's going to happen one way or another

    Yeah I can order a 3pup body, but it's a 3-4month wait haha I want to start now 😜
Still considering it though so I don't fudge up the body haha

Shazz you could probably get DB to route the centre humbucker cavity before it's sent to you. Then you have the flame maple veneer and will be less waiting time !
It's not that hard if you have a decent template, router and pattern following router bit.

Thanks Andy, it's gunna take me a fair bit longer to complete then the last build... which took a while. But I'm hoping it will be worth it being the perfectionist I am haha

That's an idea! I guess I just need to know the spacing whether it's going to work or if I have to bite the bullet and be patient haha

My FIL is a TAS teacher at a local school so I have access to a whole plathora of tools and things, so it should be doable

Hey Shaz I can measure the distance between neck and bridge pup, I have a spare SG-1F body that is unfinished. Pretty sure it will fit but it's tight. The pup rings almost touch each other haha

If I remember I will post tonight on this thread and put 3 pup rings over the body and photograph it
