Standard PBG kit dots are 6mm, I assume it's the same on the stand-alone necks. Glitter for dots... that's it, no more help from me.

Scott.
You just have no imagination!!
Trust me, if it sucks, it won't be going on the guitar!!
My thought process was having a visible depth to the dots that isn't seen in pearloid or shell. They are both a flat surface. Sure they have shimmer, especially the shell, but can you see into them??!!

Glitter in the base of th hole acrylic resin or clear epoxy to fill in.
Super glue the bottom of the hole before the glitter goes on to fix it in place.

Oh I know it can be done... it was more a question of tasteThen again, if it's stripper glitter that you collected personally, well then I can definitely see merit in the idea.
The stock plastic dots are quite deep, so you probably would have to use clear epoxy for the fill.
Scott.
It's not something I've done Z, I just remember the concept from somewhere. It's like coating plain glass for a mirror, the shiny bit goes on the bottom and the clear bit goes over the top!
Not sure about just filling with super glue, you'd need to experiment, probably outdoors as it would whiff like hell, ditto with the epoxy or casting resins options.

Thanks to Kick's inquiry about different coloured binding, I have a couple of quick questions for the guru's...
How easy is it to change the binding on a neck?
Will I need to remove the frets, or can I get away with leaving them in place?
What's the best glue for applying binding to timber?
As always, Thanks in advance!!

Hi Zandit, just catching up on a few threads and saw this one.
Another thought for the fret markers is nail polish as that is what I used on the Swampcaster and only cost $4.95. I also looked into glow in the dark stuff and you can order the powder in different colours on eBay. Also saw on another thread tonight that you can order pre-made glow in the dark fret markers and side dots from Stew Mac in the states and here is the link.... http://www.stewmac.com/Materials_and...Dark_Dots.html
All up it would cost AUD $20.50 plus freight.
