Cheers Scott, what about recent discussions? Is there a link?

To get the bushings out, drop a small screw (upside down) or something down in the bushing then screw the post into the bushing. It'll lift right out.

Then strip the end of the earth wire, poke it through so that there's 1.5cm or so in the hole and put the bushing back in.

@Nitro: I had the same issue when building my friend's SG, we forgot the ground wire and I had to pull out the bushing.
I tried to put a screw down the bottom but that basswood was soft and I was scared the small screw was being pushed through the wood as the bushing was quite tight.

I ended up making a quick contraption with a bolt and a large washer to pull it out, check link below:

Was pretty easy once I found the right parts.

Once you get the bushing out, feed your earthwire up through the hole.
As you push the bushing back in, I pull the wire with it and keep it just under the collar of the bushing, that way as it presses in the wire runs down the side of the bushing, and doesn't just bunch up underneath it.
You're doing well mate, cool build

Ok, big thanks to Weirdbits, Dan, FredA and Stan. It worked like a charm but with a slight modification.
I was too lazy to go and find the correct thread size so i looked in the shed to find a substitute. All i needed was something solid that would perfectly fit into the post without getting stuck.

A Drill bit fitted perfectly, so i ground the end off so it was below the thread line so i could screw in the post fitting and BINGO, it came out like a bought one.

Next i cut a piece of braided wire to fit, bared the end and bent it back so when i replaced the post the bare wire end was firmly wedged between the post exterior and the wood hole that it was going into.
It came up like a treat, thanks again guys.
