Gibbo uses 2 Neck 490's and 1 Bridge 490 which have a decent amount of bite and tone.

Suggest going on the Tone Rider website as under some of the PUP's featured there are video sound clips as per this link for their Alnico IV's.... http://www.tonerider.com/alnico-iv
These are the ones I chose for my EX-1 as the sound seemed to be not too bright and not too muddy either but still ballsy when compare to Alnico II's that sounded more like PAF's.
