    Interesting...verrry interesting....

    Did you hand cut the scarf joint or use a power saw/band saw?
    I'm always curious as to how much extra length you need to build into these to get the right length of fretboard/neck.

    dont know about Pabs, but I'd make both sections too long and be able to cut off each end to get it right...

    Yeah, I'm in the process of drawing it out full size for a scratch build so I think I'll just do as you suggest. 2' long ought to be enough for the headstock right?
