    Reboot into Windows make sure FireWire card is completely uninstalled. Reinstall the FireWire card if applicable .Now let Windows install it. Try the Windows version first. If that doesn't work go find the latest driver for the card see if that version works better. Uninstalling the Windows driver first.

    Cheers I'll give that a go, I have already un-installed all the Digi 002 Driver software and disconnected the Digi 002 from the computer, I might also try a motherboard BIOS reset too.

    There's one Firewire port that's integrated on the motherboard, and there's another one on a PCI card that's plugged into one of the spare PCI slots, both Firewire ports use Via chipsets.

    One thing I did notice is that last night I got a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death), and a while ago I got another BSOD.

    But first I'm going to have a cup of coffee so I can get my brain working better.
