I don't mean any disrespect against the sponsors of the site, but if this is usable, I'm not going to waste it.
Thanks in advance for any comments.
Zandit - Adam (owner of the site) has no problems with whatever you want to use to finish a guitar (and in the deep dark pits of youtube, you may find some dodgy videos of Adam doing a spray job on a kit to prove it) - Pitbull sells Dingotone which was created as a guitar stain / finish. Follow the site and there will be some comment on what DB likes and doesn't like - the beauty of this site is that it caters for people from the beginning end of a guitarbuilding experience through to old hands like DB - who makes money from selling premium scratch built guitars and has to stand by his product for years to come. Many, many guitar enthusiasts have used household stains and the like, including stamp pad ink, etc. to mixed success - but really it's your guitar and whatever you want to finish it with is cool by us.

Hey buddy, I copied these links in on one of your other threads as this colour fountain pen ink might just do the trick. Wouldn't hurt to mix in a small amount of yellow ink jet cartridge ink too in case it is a bit dark. Big CAUTION with inks......the colour can bleed and it is easy to wipe most off over a large area with a damp rag even 24 hours after initial application.

Thanks Waz, I was looking at fountain pen ink the other day. I was in Spotlight the same day, and spotted tie-dye ink as well. I'm not sure how workable that would be.
My kit has been shipped, but due to the distances between WA and Tassie, I won't see it till next week. Hopefully I get a good looking veneer on top.

Hi Zandit, not sure how colour fast other products might be. I once looked at food dyes and moved on from such as was not convinced it would be colour fast. Best to check as the last thing you want is a nice finish that gradually fades over time.
