I believe it's referred to around here as "the big green shed full of something something". Most of their stuff is twisted and knotty as hell. I managed to find a length with only one small knot, not bow shaped and fairly straight grain.

bwhahah will have a cold Dr Pepper ready for you in the naughty warehouse Pabs !

I used to buy my pine from BGSFOS in 1200mm lengths (Pabs got 1 x 2.4m length) so pulled them all out and sorted the best 2 lengths, bit knots and they went straight back on the shelf

back of body contour lines look good, never too aggressive, go hard with a file/rasp/orbital !

Oh you mean Bunnies? I got my pine from there too for my test build but I'm not sure how it will last over time. Are they dry enough to be used?

Hey Simon, doubt the pine at the big green shed is dry enough

touch wood (pine) my 10 or so pine scratchys are still looking ok, some might be close to be built 3 years ago they have maintained colour, the grain hasn't lifted and they look the same as assembly day

Hadn't thought about that. We'll just have to see how it goes. If the body shape works out I'd want to build it again as a full scratch build anyway.

Unexpectedly quick postage!! Only ordered these last week and they're already here. I'm caught a bit unawares, I was fully expecting to have to wait so I'm a bit behind now.

Left handed lockers. If you want a reverse headstock, you gotta get lefties (for a right hander that is, or righties for a left hander)

Surprisingly decent quality high mass bridge for a tenner. There is no lateral movement possible with the saddles, which is what I had hoped for.

And most importantly, some binding material. Fun times ahead.

Now I gotta pull my finger out and go get some new sleeves for the spindle sander so I can clean up the edges and move on.

Looks pretty shreddy there Pabs, why are you leaving the top flat? IMO I'd go for something like a Chapman carve

Looking good Pabs, i love getting new hardware.

Was looking at pine in the BGSFOSS before, had to go up and get some ratsak throw bag, or these critters think my shed is the place to be over a long cold winter.

Noticed it was 19mm, i guess 2 of these together would give me my 49 tele at 1.5" seemed dry enough for playing about with for some ideas i have.

@ Tony this pine is 45mm thick. He bought a 2.4m length and glued 4 x 600mm lengths together for the blank

    plenty meat to play with
