Oh yeah, that looks the goods. So elegantly sexy in it's naked state.

    So today is polishing day!
Wasn't sure how I should polish Aussie Oil, so tired in a small spot with the Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and it looks like it works great!
Photo with only the top right hand 'horn' of the guitar polished:

Looking good Fred. Does the Aussie oil have a .....well, oily feel or does it eventually dry hard and leave a satin finish?

@wazkelly: it's not really oily. It's made with shellac and other products and it is almost dry after about 5-10mins, and it looses the slightly slippery side after about an hour. From what they say it's meant to be used on small wood items, with very little at a time, and you can apply 4-5 coats in an hour. But it is quite labour intensive as it's meant to be rubbed and buffed in, little by little.
If I had not been waiting for the acrylic on the headstock to cure (and busy building other guitars...) I could have been finished 3 weeks ago.
I'm pretty happy with this product. Very forgiving as it doesn't stain, so if you mess up one spot, just come back later to it, or sand it back and apply again, you can't see the joins.
I'll have to try on a stain next to see if it turns yellow or not.
    Definitely worth a try!

Cheers mate. Sounds like it might be a better option than TO perhaps.

Never used TO, so can't comment on that. But I found it pretty easy to use. Would be good to get someone used to TO to test it and compare.
