I took this yesterday when out on a bike ride... looking over the Samford Valley North West of Brisbane. I rode through and out the other side...

... and then to the coast. I took this last week when I got caught in a rain shower at Scarborough Harbour. There are worst places to wait out the rain!

Victorian Gold Fields last week, very hot, humid and very dry.

The lonely grave of Thomas Whyte died on the goldfields July 21 1855 and was buried next to his tent.

Heres a few pics from a month ago or so. Its the Bunker Hill monument in Charlestown MA.. Bunker Hill was an epic battle in our Revolutionary War. From the top of the monument, I took a pic out of each side. You can see some of the Boston skyline, the Logan airport tower (tallest in the world, I believe), the Mystic River (Tobin) Bridge, and the USS Constitution (Old Ironsides) in the Charlestown Navy Yard..

Where was the native wildlife? I was expecting to see squirrels in the trees in your backyard.

Great photos and sure looks cold. How warm does it get there in summer?
