Next step for this weekend was start spraying the gloss. Weather has been shocking all weekend in Sydney so quite humid, but I couldn't let this block me!
So when the showers stopped I hung the body from the umbrella:

That gave me a nice place to hang the guitar from outside, quite protected!
Because it was quite humid I only sprayed very thin coats, 2x on Sat and 2x today (Sunday). I left a lot of time between them.

Anyway, it changed the look of it and the body now has an interesting colour. Not quite the pure blue and black I had in mind, but I like it:

It looks like one of the wood pieces that makes the body didn't take the dye like the others... but I guess that will contribute to the 'handmade' feel!

So now I'm going to leave this cure a little bit, and I'm thinking I'll give it a nice wet sand at 800 or so this week so I can start spraying again next weekend. Hopefully the weather will be dryer and I'll be able to put a bit more gloss on this one!
