If the latter, then you should be able to reduce just the height of the end of fret 8.

If the former and it's just fret 7 that's too low, then you could either do a fret level and re-profile, which should certainly solve the issue, or you could try prising the end of the fret up slightly, and then using some superglue under it to hold it in place. If you do, don't forget to mask off the fretboard and neck in that area. You may then need to level the fret end slightly.
Thanks for replying Simon, yes ive done a fret level, and every fret is ok, fret 8 and 6 are fine so are low E , A, D, G and B on the 7th fret but not the high E it buzzes.
Its almost like that small area on the fret has had a knock on something and bent it slightly.
So ill try lifting it slightly and glueing, cheers

Btw.. if that doesnt work is it easy to replace a fret?
