There is a guy on youtube that plays fretless Guitars, wish I could remember his name to make a search easier... His Guitars have glass finger boards.. Yep, glass!
Basically it is a return to the origional Guitars which were fretless.
Also it absolutely kicks arse when set up as a slide Guit!
Looks great Wokka love that fretboard too
Not wrong about it being pretty..
It looks even more amazing in the flesh... Or should that be wood?...
When we put that Jamwood through the bandosaurus the cave smelt of Raspberry jam, hence the name.
Can't recall the timber species other than it is an Acacia.
DB, is it Ned Evett?

I was reminded of this one I saw years ago of Guthrie Govan.

Looks awesome Woks and love how the neck grain flows through the cavity covers.
The Vigier fretless guitars that Guthrie Govan and Ron Thal use have stainless steel fretboards. I suppose that is similar to using glass as both are standard slide materials and help get the slide guitar without a slide sound.
got some more work done yesterday. Drilled all the wiring holes, had a close call and almost drilled outside of the control cavity and the hole came out the recess - close call !
Grain filled the back and sanded the covers flat. Got holes for the covers drilled and countersunk.
Cut the neck pocket to suit the curved neck plate. Also got the neck pretty well shaped. Hard work with the files but it's rewarding.
Now all that's left is final body sanding and should be ready for stain or clearing.
