No template. Just freehand. I am used to free handing letters. So this was easy compared to making signs. You can see the new holes marked, After some research and measuring my American deluxe strat, I have factored in some compensation so we're 10mm longer from 12th to bridge than nut to 12th.

Will fill the old holes and have some timbermate so hopefully they won't be too noticeable after the bridge is mounted. It will cover most of the original holes.

Happy! This wilkinson ashtray bridge is much sexier! Just covers the old holes!
Using the PBG saddle screw means I get a lot to play with when setting up the intonation.

Very happy with my headstock. Shaped and sanded down to 320 grit.

I got some really nice sandpaper from a woodworking store called Carbatec in Auburn. They have stores all over Oz from what I can see.
They had lots of nice toys for woodworking too!

Thanks Wokkaboy. Your suggestion with swapping out the saddle bolts works, get very close to being where they need to be.
My next job is to drill the string through holes and install the ferrules. I also want to swap the plastic nut for a bone nut, but not sure what part to buy from real parts. They have several choices, can anyone help?
Yep, there are a few online shops that he has links to http://www.brierleyguitarpickups.com.au/
Here is the one you will need.
