Build #2 - Doublecut custom

I’ve finished the top, albeit with some imperfections...
I’m curious what more experienced builders might do in my situation, given:

1. I intend to play live with this guitar so it will pick up knocks and scratches and I’m cool with that
2. None of my guitars are perfectly shiny and without flaws (my LP was 30 years ago!)
3. This is only build #2 so I’m very much still learning.
4. I’m overall stoked with the look of this thing

Issues are:
1. Some bubbling due to over sanding the veneer (see above)
2. The black bits are a bit orange-peely, I had to redo the headstock due to sanding through the clear coat (see a theme emerging??) so I was a bit paranoid about doing the same, which would have maybe ruined the burst.
3. A small chip, again probably due to heavy handedness

I’m inclined to accept the imperfections but I wonder if there are any low risk remedies to any of the above?

Maybe a few more coats of clear only to start levelling down to where your at currently?

Several coats of clear would be my start point too.

Just keep going with the clear and intermittent wet sand with 1200 till your happy. It's usually 3 times as many as you planned if not a lot more, my current build has 60 coats of Tru oil on the top, about 50 and sealer on the back and sides.

As to your heel, you can add a cap and taper it smooth. Nice bit of burl would set it off nicely.
My PRS build has a similar heel, I've just inlayed it with M.O.P.
P.S
With veneer tops, I never sand before I have stain and clear or Tru oil on. Other than a very light dry sand with 600 prior to stain but only if it needs it and with only enough pressure to move the paper.
Also when doing a vintage burst a bottle of alcohol and clean rags to work the fade is the trick!

Gotcha! I’m feeling much happier about it already so will keep going...
I love your heel inlay, maybe I’ll try something like that in a future build but I don’t want to make even more trouble for myself, I’m quite happy with how I rounded the body as it sits quite comfortably in my palm with fingers at the higher frets...
