Nowadays I'm trying to apply a french polishing technique but I can't spare enough time for my build. But it is going on :) and I hope it will finish soon. :)

I'm applying the 20th french polish layer now. Because I had done a lot of mistakes in the early phases. I didn't noticed them since the french polishing. :) Anyhow it is going well now.
Well my friends, I'll keep posting here when I get a result. But excuse me for not working too hard on my project. :)

By the way, the drink is Turkish Raki . I highly recommend it ;)
Take care...

The Strat is looking great so far, can't wait to see it finished.
The colour is looking amazing. Never knew you could add dye to Shellac, until now! Might be something to try on a future build.
cheers,
Gav.
Thanks Gavin. It was also very interesting for me. Perhaps I should take a few photos of my trials to get an appliable color. All my effort was to keep the ingredients minimum and affordable nearby. I didn't want to order them abroad. I'm sure there are lots of ways (and most of them are preferably-easy-to-do I guess) to finish a guitar. But this way is way too challenging and enjoyable.
well done Singulum what an update ! Colour is looking very nice and the food looks just as good - keep up the good work
Awesome axe, awesome food! Love the finish & colour

great results with local products, well done
oh, and the food looks amazing
Great to see the progress. And the food.
Wow. That is looking very nice indeed :)
Looking good. I liked the original yellow colour as it really highlighted the grain however what you have now looks like red coloured glass with just a hint of grain. Slow progress has paid off in a brilliant finish.
Hi everyone. Greetings. I'll have to jump forward a little bit. But I will try to send the missing pieces of the build later.

Sorry for the resolution of the pics.
Nice work!
Havent seen this build before...This is a very very nice build Singulum.. congratulations!! How does she play?
S!
Beautiful strat, I love that finish!
Looks great mate, the perseverance with the shellac has really paid off!
really nice build Singulum you got a very nice gloss and the finish looks flat. Love the red is very nice.
Have a look at your bridge saddles aren't flat, adjust the screws so each saddle is horizontal. The saddles should be in the same shape as the 12' raduis fingerboard ie middle strings D G the highest and outside strings both E's the lowest
Straight to the pool room (the PBG Facebook) Great build man!
