Doc, I once lived over a panel shop (had the entire top floor over 6 factorys), the guy used to come in Sunday morning at about 7am, and bang around, smoke cones , cough his lungs out then leave. I needed revenge...... One Monday morning I moved my stereo ( a big Rotel quad amp pushing Ultra Linear bass relflex speakers ) directly over his work shop, put on Ministry "TV Set" on repeat cranked the volume and went to work. He never came in on a Sunday again :)

Back in the day I used a '72 Fender Jazz and an Ibanez SDGR bass. Nowadays of course I am using my fretless MMB-4.
Assembled over quite a few years when money was tight, its a Dean Markley 150watt head and a with a Roland guitar Pre-amp. The cab is a Yamaha double 15" J bin but loaded with Jensen speakers. I chose the guitar pre-amp over a bass pre because there were no cheap secondhand bass pre's in those days and I was able to get very bright top end when needed, but roll off the treb and she has loads of bottom end grunt from the 15's. The Roland also has a built-in DI for connecting to FoH.
She's been a workhorse and doesn't do anything flash, but does everything I want from a bass amp.

Wow Robin, that's a monster vintage rig.
How is your back as that setup would have weighed plenty?
That's a pretty serious Bass rig you have there, Robin.
