Rabz's LP-1M This will take some time...

Finally got to put rasp and sand paper to wood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even then, the washing machine guy turned up, the neighbour wanted a hand to carry some stuff.

So far I've roughed in the headstock shape, and done a 180 grit sand of the neck.

I can't believe how busy I've been since the day I ordered this kit.

Everyone keeps saying Slow and Steady wins the GOTM

    Ouch....

After much sanding, I was de-dusting with a brush and whack.

So time for the old gun smiths trick:

A bit of wet Four by Two (or flannelette) and heat it with a soldering iron. The heat forces moisture into the timber re-expanding the cells.

Now just have to re-sand it.

Yeah, I can't claim it for my own.

A club armourer showed me that trick when I dinged my Dad's target rifle. I must have been 14 or 15 at the time. The soldering iron wasn't quite so modern for that repair...
