Thanks for the info Fender.
I have not heard of that strap extender either.
Would like to know a bit more about it. I have a SG copy that dives.
Nice looking bass there.
Looks great.
I know what you mean about the pots. I buy replacement lefty audio pots so they go the correct way. Too much of the guitar world operates against lefties.
Guitar Trade or Real Parts...
Finally put it together.
Copper tape in the cavities, upgraded electrics, Artist pickup set. And managed to get the Dan Lawrence wiring all in place. TUSQ nut installed.
Sounds exceptionally good....
My first thought is the strings. But you may have a dodgy pickup.
On the tele (lefty) I am putting together (https://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=12407) I replaced all the...
I have used that product and it does take time to settle down.
I also applied Feast Watson furniture wax over the top. That improved the tacky feel.
Test it on a scrap piece first though just to...
Progress has been slow.
Old hands and arthritis don't help.
Finally getting back to the kit.

Nice colour on that one. Looks good.
Congratulations to both of you.
My best wishes for the future.

Thanks for everything Adam.
I will keep an eye on here for any lefty stuff that pops up.
My very best wishes for your retirement.
A very big thankyou for the kits I have gotten from you and all your help. Sourcing left handed gear is always a challenge.
May you have many happy years of retirement.
Who knows, you might have...
The black and silver sit very well together. Nice.
Looks great.
Not a problem.
I have done plenty of searching for TUSQ nuts. It is even harder to find lefty TUSQ nuts.
Hope it works for you.
And also a couple of other locations:

Just saw this thread.
Have you tried https://bassworkshop.com.au/collections/nuts
They have flat bottomed TUSQ nuts. Located in Melbourne.
Hi Trevor,
The link is to a strat build.
I did the block and deck on mine. Nice and stable without the hassle of trying to fit another bridge.
Thanks Simon.
I might give that a try. Sounds good.
Thanks Simon, much appreciated.
And thanks for picking that up with the tone pot. I was so focused on the switch wiring that I didn't look at the pots. I will wire the tone pot in the standard...
I am currently working on a tele build and thought I might try something different with the wiring.
I came across the Bill Lawrence mod and would like to try that one on the tele.
This is the...
