    JMA-1 Floating to fixed bridge?

I am just beginning to blunder my way into a JMA-1 and wonder: if a person really didn't want vibroto/wammy bar and/or all the hassles of tuning a floating bridge, could he fill the whole and put a fixed bridge on the same posts that the floating bridge will take? I have been reading up on how to block a floating bridge and keep it more stable that way, but it all still seems to be a lot of hassle. I am an old guy, but I am very new to most of this stuff (I'm really not even sure how to put the strings on this thing...?

Excuse my ignorance (one of my favorite phrases). The whole Floyd Rose floating bridge thing is something I am only slowly beginning to understand....

    Thanks in advance.

Others may be more familiar with this kit than I am, but it it is like a standard Fender two point floating bridge, you should be able to block it or Deck it. I think that's probably easier than filling it in and using a hard tail bridge.

    Thanks.
    What does "Deck it" mean?

Decking is essentially tightening the springs to the point where the floating bridge no longer floats.

You can try remove the floating bridge and replace it with a fixed bridege.

I did the block and deck on mine. Nice and stable without the hassle of trying to fit another bridge.
