    First build TLA-1 ash body

    Gday all,
Well got my kit today, and I’ve got a few ideas on the body finish. I’ll be using an old strat body for the ideas I’ve got instead of going ham on the tele. I’ve got a set of locking machine heads and a roller string tree also a bridge 6 string saddle to give it a bit of an update. I thought about using a bigsby style trem with a floating bridge, then I’d have to angle the neck.i kinda want to keep it simple for my first build. I’m not going to use the pick guard, and that raised a problem for the neck pickup

So I’m going to have a setup like Keith Richards.

That’s pretty much what I’m up to at the moment.

Welcome Hughey, sounds like you've got it all sussed out. Keep us updated with your build diary.

A TL kit is a great one to start with, and a copy of "Keef's" is not a bad way to go.

Plenty of help here on the Forums, so if you run into a problem post some piccies and someone here will be able to help.

    Cheers mate,
ill be doing my own finish. Just liked the idea of facing the neck pick up backwards.
