    PBS ESB-4SC bass description.

Was just looking at the ESB-4SC kit, as it was brought up in another thread, and noticed that the description said that it was an ES-175 style single cut. But the rounded (not Florentine) horn with the volume knob hole on that horn, to me say 'Gretsch', whilst the supplied pickups and bridge say 'Hofner'. The pre-cut headstock shape is similar to both Gretsch and Hofner designs. So I'd see this Es-175 description as more of a cut-and-paste carry-over from the ES3-B4 kit, which is ES-175 influenced.

Being very picky, I feel it really should have had a slightly different model name, as it's not a single-cut version of the ESB-4 at all; especially with it's much deeper and fully- (not semi-) hollow body.

If the body was supplied without the standard pickup or volume control holes, it looks to me like you could make a decent Hofner President look-alike bass from it (not that I want to, but others might).
