    Dingotone

A question for Dingobass. I have finished my ES 1G with dingotone clear and it has had the 3 applications and now been curing for about two weeks. It still feels tacky and has a slightly lumpy finish. Will a rubbing compound smooth it out?

Hi Peter, with the 3 clear coats you applied how long did you leave it to cure between those 3 coats ? DB recommends at least 3 days per coat and being in Harvey the temps have probably been cool at nights.
Don't rub any compound on the body. You may have to wait a bit longer to see if it hardens, otherwise you risk having to sand it all off.
If the humidity has been a bit high that will affect the cure times too.

Hi Wokkaboy each coat had a week to dry, As you say it has not been very good drying weather down here. Now the weather has warmed up perhaps another week will make the difference.

Hi Peter, yes think that's the right thing to do wait another week. Can we please see some pics of the build ? The forum are always keen to see progress pics. Or a link to your build diary please.

forecast for Perth is 35 degrees Saturday and some mid to high 20's so hopefully a bit of heat and the clear coats will harden
