    Yet another newbie!

Hi everyone, been a busy day on here for newcomers!
I'm Dave, live in glorious Brisbane and have just started on my LP-1MQ last week (I will start a build thread with photos etc, it's taken me a while to even get around the introducing myself so please be patient!)
It took me around 18 months to finally take the plunge (and have the time) to build a guitar and I probably would have backed out if it hadn't have been for this forum, the advise you guys give out and the community you have created is fantastic, I haven't found a single post on any thread that belittles anyone in any way.
My guitar playing ability is between beginner and hopeless, purely a lounge chair strummer.
What I have realised after a only week or so of sanding and staining that this is addictive! I can see that I will be creating numerous noise makers in the coming years, quite how you get that past the wife I don't know yet (may need advice on that!)

Good to see another Brisvegan and fellow guitar builder.

Looking forward to seeing the build diary. LP-MQ eh, nice choice bro.

Pro tip:- If you build a stunner, the wife will give you permission again

Welcome Dave, the Qld contingent is growing rapidly. I only took up guitar again this years so lounge chair strumming is my level as well. Kit building is heaps of fun and the rewards you reap are solely dependant on how much you put in so it's very fulfilling.
The only thing I'm yet to figure out is where to put them all :P

Wish I could be as pedantic at work as I am being with sanding and staining, it must be because I actually want to do it!
One thing I need to figure out is uploading photos, I did see a thread somewhere but can't find it now, too much alcohol and long day at work, tomorrow's problem!

I had problems with this DaveW and now use Picasa to resize to 1000x1000 pixels then export to documents and the "Manage Browser" will take it from documents Best to have the alcohol AFTER the long day at work? Hmmmm

Hi Dave, yes there is a size limit on photos of 1500px on the longest edge. Photos from phones these days tend to be around 3000px+ so they won't post... we have to set a limit or our server would fill up pretty in no time.

As Peter suggests, just use Picassa or any photo editor (plenty of free ones available) to reduce the size to under 1500px.

Edit: I swear this is only my second G&T... but I quoted the wrong post and attributed the wrong member, sorry Peter. I will try and improve.
    Cheers,

    Adam
