Hello from Hoenefoss, Norway.
Today I mockbuilt my set. All parts where there and seemed to fit quite good. But the Tonerider Vintage Plus neck mic did did not FIT into its cavity. What shawl I do?

Hello OveR, welcome to the PBG family.
If you could post some pictures someone should be able to help and give you good advice. I have not used those pickups but one of my buddies Andy40 has and you could have a look at his build thread to see if you can spot anything there whilst waiting for more forum members to come along. This is a link to the beginning of his build http://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au...ead.php?t=4724

Hi OveR
Most after market pick ups wont fit the stock cavities. You will probably find that will need to move the bridge and bridge pick up forward a tiny bit too. The easiest way is to use a sanding drum in a power drill or a dremel if you have one.

Hi OVeR, Welcome to the forum!
I know that you are specifically talking about the bridge pickup. The baseplate on the Tonerider is slightly bigger than the Pitbull Bridge pickup.
I believe that I either used a sanding drum as Dedman suggested to widen the rout in the body (or a router type drill bit for my drill).
I did not need to modify the tele bridge that comes with the PBG bridge because I upgraded to a wilkinson.
Could you do something for us? could you post some photos of the guitar as you are building it.
Good luck

Spot on Andy as most Tele bridge pickup upgrades are too big for that small hole. I had to enlarge mine to take the Wilkinson and just hand sanded with 80 & 120 grits to enlarge things a little bit at a time until there was enough room for the new PUP.

Sanding drum is a good way to handle the problem, especially if you just need a slight enlargement.
