Well I downloaded the free version.

At this point I am a little underwhelmed. The dude in the video seems excited and seems to have an idea. I guess it must be similar to his beloved apple software.

Me? I am finding it extremely non-intuitive.

Nothing seems to be where it should be and nothing operates in the manner it should.

Now, old mate has a whinge about Audacity, but at least the UI (UX) makes sense. I guess I'm just not a clicky tile sort of guy - I use win8 in desktop mode with a classic start menu, so the Surface/Android/iThing tablet design leaves me cold and makes it hard to find stuff. WTF is wrong with a menu bar with drop-downs? Clicking different icons, placed in seemingly random locations is a turn off.

It sort of works however the instrument/drums supplied are (obviously) limited. Lots of "Buy Now" pop ups when you click things, again this is their sales model but FFS just grey the tool out rather than using nag screens.

    Layout 3/10
Usability 2/10 (Yes it is the free one so I wasn't expecting a full studio).
    Annoyance Quotient 9/10

    Cheers Rabz

I didn't look at that one but for $60.00 Reaper is impossible to go past and there is truckloads of support out there

I think the software is great for composing at work on holiday travelling etc. The best thing is if your mates on Windows your on Macs or Android you can all share files and work on it together. For guitarists that don't play or have bass or access to drum sounds again. It's a great compositional aid. I use pro tools, studio one, and logic. Do I have a mobile version of those no. But to sketch ideas then move em to your favourite DAW is great. It's free and for beginners clicking tiles and icons is easier for them. I don't think the guy showing demo was very knowledgable and was totally new to it. As in all things Rabbit to get the best out of anything you really have to look into it. You can also pay 9.99 extra and get a great add on bundle . Here's a better Tutotial. I think Reaper is stunning software too Dave. Not every DAW has everything we need. There are some amazing things in pro tools I love, something's I hate but you put up with there little idiosyncrasies. Again anything that's free and gets people writing music has got to be a good thing.

I really like the interface it's clean and uncluttered does the job . I don't kinda get the negativity to something costs bugger all lol.
But it's whatever floats ya boat. Good download thanks for recommendation. I tried the iPad version with Scarlett interface
No problems at all. I will download the windows version see how that goes with the VST plugins I already own.
