I have been hesitating to ask this question...
I have an ESB-4 kit, which is a semi hollow body with a center block. Is there any reasonable way to shield the cavity?
Since I really only have access through the lower F-hole, I can't think of any way to do it, except on that I am REALLY reluctant about.
That would be to tape off everything as well as possble and use shielding paint. One could pour it in to the cavity, tape off the F-holes and the binding, and then slosh it around until there is reasonable certainty that it has covered everything.
I have never used shielding paint, though. I am worried that despite best efforts to tape it will leave stains around the f-holes or other holes. I am think that it might require quite a lot of paint.
Is it overkill to try to do this? Is there a decent alternative that will fit through an f-hole?
