    Community Kit Build (#1)

Hello folks, long time no see.

As you've all probably seen in the Announcements forum, Ads and I have worked together to create a kit that captures our community. We've got a few prototypes around and this is #1.

    - Basswood body
    - White binding
    - 24 frets
    - Rosewood board
    - Reverse stock
    - H/S pickup configuration

Really looking forward to this build and the kit looks great.

    Stay tuned!

I've been thinking about the actual staining lately. I wanted to pop the grain with a darker stain but I think this top might be a bit too thin.

Do you think I could get away with dark stain straight on then sand back with 180/240 before colour coat?

One of the threads had a rapid stain and wipe solutions for popping to preclude sanding. I think its a case of staining, waiting a bit and then wiping as much of the stain off still wet but leaving enough to pop the flame. Can't remember who did it, maybe Wazkelly or Wokka?
