Un nuevo from Spain

Hi, I'm Fred, I´m English but have lived and worked in Spain since 2006.

I've just received in the post the "Gretsch" semi-acoustic. It only took a week for it to arrive from Australia...to customs at Madrid post office, and then it's taken four weeks for the bureacratic civil servants to process the clearance, and for it to wend it's way down to the south of Spain (Almeria).

Anyway, it's here, and at first glance all looks fine. I've put together a Thomann Harley Benton Telecaster kit in the past, but this is a different ball game. Fortunately I've got a very good and experienced friend living locally who will help, and obviously this forum will be useful.

My idea is to have the guitar looking like an old US army jeep: drab green paint, a white star stenciled, and the name Gen. Floyd painted on (named after our drummer).

Let's see how it goes!
