Hello from Melbourne, and away we go! I have a TL - 51 Kit to put together. It's my first kit, I've never done this before. Fitting the bolt on neck on a dry run, it's really tight, so tight it has to be tapped in. Is this a good thing? I was hoping it would be tight, but really as tight as it is, I'm worried that I might damage it by forcing the neck into it's pocket. any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome Johnny,

I think tight is better than loose.

welcome to the forum Johnny, cool kit the TL-51.
I'd sand the neck heel a bit so the fit isn't too tight. Don't take much off and keep checking the fit regularly.
Would love to see some pics of the kit your scored. Ask any questions you have, start a build diary and best of luck. Great kit to start on

Welcome John. I'd +1 what Woks said about sanding the neck slightly. If it is already that tight it will be even tighter once the neck is finished. But go really easy on it though.
