    G.Day To All

Hi, Mitch here from down under. Excited to start my first project.
My ST 1 has just arrived, impressed with the quality and finish.
They threw in a few extras for free too. Chose the grover tuners but no pickups. I have got a twin matching set of Seymour Duncan Jazz humbuckers to fit into a white pearloid pickguard.
I will paint the body with a deep pearl electric blue, with black hardware. Think it will look ok as a solid colour as there is not much grain in the basswood body. I will light stain and clearcoat the neck, the headstock will be reshaped and painted blue to match the body.
this is my first build but i have 45 years experience in the painting and finishing business.
If i stuff up i have a luthier for a brother in law to fall back on. LOL Wish me luck guys......

Hi Mitch, congrats on your ST kit there's loads of resources on the forum. If your looking for anything in particular or just need help with anything at all just shout out. It's a case of reading reading then doing. Good luck have fun. The grovers are a great upgrade, and will give you stability tuning. Look forward to see what you do with the build and look forward to seeing your paint work. Upload lots of pics and start a build diary.

Hi Mitch, and welcome to the madness.

You have experience in finishing and your bro-in-law is a Luthier, I think this is going to be a build worth watching. Good luck with it and don't be afraid to ask lots of questions.

    Cheers
