Wink Floyd Rose style Tremelo Creaking....

On the IB-7 Floyd rose style tremelo, whenever i use it , it makes a creaking noise, I think it could maybe be the bit where it connects to the poles where it is screwed between.(where the unit is put on so the 2 screws and two things you had to hammer in to the guitar) So it think it creaks when going across that or something. If so how could i fix it.. or is there any other reason for it to be creaking?

the one on my GD-1 creaks...just before the springs detach themselves . Try a bit of candle wax or even a tiny drop of oil on the pivot points

Scribble a bit of pencil lead onto the contact/pivot points, one at a time, and test to see if it stops the creaking (just poke the pencil tip in and rub it on the spot without disassembling anything). Start with the pivot points, then spring hooks etc. When you find which one(s) was creaking you can then decide if further action is required.

Is it a 'creak' from metal scraping on metal or a vibrating/creaking spring noise from when they're being stretched?
    Scott.
