    Hi Canada,

I think your instincts serve you well regarding the saddle channels. I had to have a look at your larger piccy first.

That is a left handed bridge (you have the correct one) if it was right handed the tremolo arm socket would be on the other side.

That being said, I think your saddles are the wrong way around....

Easy fix, de-string the guitar, unscrew each saddle and swap them around so the saddle with the biggest string channel is for the big E string, second biggest is for the A string, then D...you get the idea.

Lastly, I can tell by the position of your saddles that the reason why your guitar wont stay in tune is because I don't think the saddles have not been positioned correctly for proper intonation. Which is cool because I think you may need to swap the saddles around anyway.

This is what the saddle position will look like once intoned.

Have a good read of Gav's tutorial on "Setting up your intonation" http://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au...ead.php?t=2303

Especially.... "Step Four: Set the approximate positions of the string saddles on the bridge."

There is a video on intonation

    Good luck mate

The saddles are correctly installed, it is just your intonation that is in need of adjusting.

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

How's that finish on the Tele? And why did I use a 3 saddle bridge for an intonation video?

Ahhh, 2012, when we were all so young and clueless.

(Wish I still had that long hair though)
    Cheers,

    Adam
