    Dedmans build 3 GD-1

My name is Ron and I have GAS

    But I don't care!

Hmm, looky what post bought today direct from the factory

Neck fits SO well, can't find a flaw anywhere on the kit.
I have noticed the real Graveyard Disciples have a switch on the top, there is neither rout nor switch in the kit. So I'll put one in between the pots I guess.

Anyway, already have the black Grovers and Entwhistles here waiting.

What's the finish going to be? Relic on a level not often seen. Think freshly dug .................

Hi Dedman, is your name Ron or the guitar's name ?

this is maybe the 2nd GD-1 build diary I have ever seen. Kit looks cool. Hope there's enough room for a 3 way switch between the pots, otherwise use the tone pot hole for the switch and drop the tone.
    Nice upgrades by the looks.

Never knew this kit had a floating tremelo.

Can't wait to see this relic'd finish, I guess you will paint or stain it black, sand it back a bit then actually bury the guitar body for a few days ? haha

EDIT I checked out the PBG model pics and there's no switch included. It's a pretty old model so looks like the factory forgot to add a switch. You could swap the tone pot for a blend pot and forget a switch ?

I'm thinking of splitting the humbuckers so when the time gets closer I'll be asking for wiring ideas I guess. I'm sure there is room in there for a 5 way switch will double check when I get back in the workshop.

    And yea, my names Ron

cheers Ron, good to know your name !

looking at the size of the control plate the control cavity isn't huge, you may need to fill and modify the vol/tone pot holes to make room for a 5 way switch.
You could put a 3 way switch in, much less space than a 5 way and have 2 push pull pots, volume to split the neck pup and tone pot to split the bridge pup

as my lovely assistant shows, you maybe right. There isn't a lot of space in there.

The gang were pretty excited about the GD-1

nice dolls Dedman, they suit this build so well

I think a 3 way switch may just fit but will be super tight

there are plenty of other options just using 2 pots
