In the mail today - a custom kit

I've always wanted a 12-string but didn't fancy a 335 shape this time round. I have a Strat and a Tele, so I thought a JM style might be nice for the job.

Adam was very helpful in sorting out the spec, and I'm pretty impressed that PitBull can do a mix'n'match like this!

Now - can I do it justice with a quality build?

Time for a bit of reading on this forum and checking out YouTube tutorials before getting started...

I see it's a tune o matic bridge.

Start a build diary and do a mock build to make sure all 12 tuners fit and how the neck heel fits in the neck pocket. Also check that you have 6 left hand tuners and 6 right hand tuners.

Ask any questions you have there and start sanding !

Looks like a basswood body. Should look fine stained or solid paint, whatever your plans are

Welcome RJL. You won't regret having a 12 string in your collection.

It looks like the factory drilled the tuner holes much better than they did on my 12 string ST-1, but with that headstock they could use the template for the double neck.

I guess you'd call that a Gibuar or a Jazzson. Either way I look forward to this build progressing.
