    Current projects

I have a couple of things going on at once.. I have a,Flying V that's getting a flametop, ivory binding(body and neck) and new paua fret dots.. I also have an SG scratchbuild (body only). I bought a nice, unfinished mahogany set neck to modify... that one is a walnut/maple body. The maple is amazing! Its flamy quilt with some burl... it will look awesome! (The Biz,!) Its getting 2, p90 pickups, one of which will be reverse wound. Some pics....[IMG]

More... I used an MDF template that i made from some plans I found online somewhere.. rough cut the body with a sawzall, then a router, then started the contours with a rasp, gouges, chisels, etc...
    Loving this top!

I've got the EXA and the ressurection of the original FrankenWashie in build, but planning an RG style multi laminate neck thru baritone, a soloist style 25.5" scale and a SV-1 inbound from Adam.

That is a rather tasty chunk of tree ya got going on the SG.....

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

Did some dye tests today. I got some Keda dyes.. love them! The SG is the red test. Dyed black first, this chunk was half-assed sanded back, then red. Loving the color.
The orange is for the V. Some areas were dyed black and sanded back, others are just orange dye. Im undecided at the moment, but leaning towards the "tiger" look of the black/orange....
Finished the rough bevels, now to get the file marks out...lol! Neck pocket next.. I hate that part...
