    Will this work?

So... I have a JR-1 in my basket and ready to checkout. BUT! I want to go with gold hardware. Been able to find everything needed but stumbled across these PUPs (Mini Humbuckers) which would suit my build down to the ground. Would ONE of these replace the dog ear P90 without too much kicking screaming and banging of head on work bench?Click image for larger version.

Apparently there is a cover that allows you to mount the mini HB into a Dog Ear, i guess yo could always fabricate one

The mini HB was designed by Gibson i am told to fit the P90 route, i know it fits in a soapbar but not sure about the dog ear with out the cover.

OK yes you should be able to put it straight in but you need something like this.

Well, I'm guessing the covers on those I posted would do pretty much the same thing as the adaptors?Click image for larger version.

Personally I would use a soapbar mini-hum mount. The pup will then mount straight into the routed cavity like a soapbar.

    cheers,
    Gav.
