    RCA-4 Lemmy tribute....

    Hi there!
so Ive ordered an RCA-4 kit and it arrived in the states early this AM. Should be getting started by next weekend. I have big plans for this kit, and will try to document every step. It will be my first bass, my first from a kit, but not my first time in the rodeo..lol. Looking forward to sharing my build as it happens!

    Dave

Hello all! My kit arrived yesterday, but nobody was home, so I picked it up today! I am very impressed with the quality of the kit. Neck fits like a glove, with just enough play.. everything seems to be there. I laid it all out on the bench and I can picture my finished product... I'm debating on going with a different bridge, but thinking I may just stick with this one for now.... Im waiting on some checkered binding to come in.. seems a shame to route out the beautiful cream that's on there, but the check, inside of cream, is a must-have! Already finished my TRC logo...Click image for larger version.

nice one Davey, love the TRC logo. Should look great with the chequered binding. So what's the plan you will have chequered on the inside and cream on the outside ? so a wider binding channel needed ?

    Thanks everyone..
sansan, thats just a scanned image of the TRC, in Adobe Illustrator.. I will probably print the logo onto waterslide decal paper. Thats how Ive done them on past builds..
wokkaboy, exactly the plan. Ill need to route a wider channel. Im waiting on the binding to arrive so I can double (triple) check the measurements.. then Ill install new cream on the outside..
