So, what is OpenOffice.org?, it's a suite of software you can download and install on your computer for free, it is basically an alternative to software such as Microsoft Office.


I thought that the software on the OpenOffice.org website may be useful to those of you wishing to have a go at designing your own headstock logos, but are on a tight budget and can't afford to buy expensive software.


OpenOffice.org Draw seems to be the one to use, so I'm going to download it and install it on my laptop, and give it a go.


You can go to the Download section to download the software.

I use the version from Libreoffice. Very similar. Draw is a great program. Super easy to use, and hard to beat the price!

Okay, my laptop is running Windows 10 Threshold 2 64Bit and I can confirm that the current version of OpenOffice.org for windows both installs and runs on it.


So those of you wondering whether it works with Microsoft's most recent operating systems, i.e. 7,8,8.1, and 10, yes it does.


There's also a version for Mac OS, and Linux as well.
