Back bow on newly received necks

Hi, I've just received two kits Gr1-sf and Tla-r. Both necks have back bow. The Gr1-sf neck has a slight 1 mm bow however the rosewood Tele neck is around 2 to 2.5 mm. I am concerned that string tension on these necks may only get them back to straight at best with no neck relief. I've loosened off the truss rod with no improvement. Should I be concerned here?

Hi Rodger, Have a look at DBs comments in the link kimball posted. It's a double-action truss rod so just keep turning anti-clockwise (lefty loosy) and the neck will straghten up. Just dont turn too much at any one time. I've never had a neck from PBG that couldn't be straightened dead flat using the truss rod.

    cheers,
    Gav.

Thanks all it worked well. I think when strung I'll get the right amount of neck relief.
