    Hi from the Sunny Coast

    Hi all.

New member here. I've already been contributing to other threads and asking endless dumb questions, so I guess it would be polite to introduce myself.

I'm an electrical TAFE teacher here on the Sunshine Coast (fast approaching the end of my tether...) and recently bought a PRS-1TS kit from a different supplier (sorry. I didn't know about PBG at the time) but it looks identical to the kit available from PBG. Even the catalogue photo is the same photo.

Anyway, I've done the sanding and waiting for my DingoTone finish kit to arrive.

Adam has allowed me to start a build diary here, even though its not 'really' a PBG guitar, so thanks for allowing me in Adam.

To be fair, I DID buy a PRS-1Q kit from PBG tonight, so I'll be 'official' on my next build.

Looking forward to sharing my experiences and learning from yours. This seems like a great community here and I'm glad I found you all.

    Cheers.

Welcome, Muzza, There is a lot of great info and knowledge here, even for a bright spark(y) such as yourself!

I assume you've got a tiger-skin flame to show off on the PRS? Should look rather cool!

    Cheers boys.

I started making a movie of the unboxing and initial impressions, but forgot to take actual PHOTOS. I'll see if I can strip some out of the movie files. Once I've done that I'll start the build diary.

I'm ready to apply the finish to my first non PBG PRS-1TS build (but I'm pretty sure it's the exact same PRS-1S kit that PBG sell...) and as I mentioned, Adam has kindly allowed me to participate in the build diary section.

It'll be a practice run for the PBG PRS-1Q that's on its way.

    Thanks Blueshound.

I can tell you this much already. The headstock won't look like a PRS and the body will have a unique control arrangement.

The headstock has been inspired by a combination of PRS, Maton T-Byrd and Ovation. It's nearly ready for it's unveiling (the raw headstock) but I've got to buy another router bit first. (bugger doing it by hand...)

The soon-to-be-revealed control configuration has been forced upon me because the guitar I'm attempting to clone (sort of...) has 3 knobs (Maton) but the kit has 4 holes (Les Paul).

Watch this space... (or, actually, the build diary space. When I start it...) (when I stop *&%#@ing sanding...)
