    Hi folks -advice appreciated.

    Hi everyone,

First timer here, I have experience in cabinet making and setting up, repairing and modifying guitars, nothing assembling and finishing a kit like these. I really like the look of the ES-2V, can't wait to get started, should be great fun. I do have a few questions if anyone knows that would help heaps with what I want to achieve. Basically, I will be finishing the guitar with a straight forward clear gloss polyurethane, so nothing complicated there. I would like to have the cool trapeze tailpiece but with the tune-o-matic bridge - this would mean plugging the stoptail holes (DOH!!). Can Pitbull supply a small off-cut of the maple veneer so a glue/dust slurry could be made use a fill putty? Also, shouldn't this kit come with a pick guard? if not would PB supply one on request?

Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Cheers, Shayne

Hi Shayne, welcome to the forum. Looks like this kit doesn't have a pickguard but pretty sure a LP type pickguard would fit. I'm sure Adam can supply one.
The quilted maple veneer you will probably have to source yourself.
Send Adam an email regarding the pickguard

Alternative - given you've got the skills - how about making up a pickguard from wood - couple of guys have done it and the results have been stunning to date. Also would mean that it's totally yours.
