    Update From DB's Man Cave.

    Greetings all.
Hope everyone had a ripper xmas and all the best for the new year.... Can you believe that January is almost over already??

Anyhoo, after having the last month out of action due to ongoing back injury issues I am slowly getting back to work.

For those who have been patient with me, (Kimball and Stan especially), thank you

There will be some new stuff hitting the market this year, most importantly there will be changes to Dingotone thanks to all the thoughtful critique that has been given.
The new formula Dingotone should hopefully address the issues that some experienced, especially with the final coat.

We are also developing a range of stain only products that will allow folk to use most if not all "banned" finish products....
I promise not to banish anyone to the Naughty Warehouse if they use these products over the DT Stains .....

So, heres to a new year of awesome builds by the PBG community.
Miss Fe and I wish you all a very happy year.

Hey DB! good to know about the new product upgrade and stains, i will have to give it a go when i do my 52T body, aiming for a TV Yellow, so it should be an easy one.

I know all about crook backs, and also put up with a neck i broke in 6 places 20yrs ago, i cant even file a nut blank sometimes, very frustrating, as i sometimes have to outsource my own work.

All the best with your new products.

    cheers
    Tony

Thanks Tony, my back issues stem from a misspent youth on the Rodeo circuit... And then to top it all off I worked as a Stonemason for many years as well... Stoopid.
Should have just concentrated on the Luthiery full time but being young and bullet proof I made a few wrong choices, ie, money over health :/

I'm still in my 20s (just) and ive had a back back for the past 9 or 10 years, doesn't take much to f - it good and proper. I've spent the last few weeks on some happy pills in the horizontal position while growing ever more frustrated I cant get out and do the things I love

Hope your back gets well soon DB, I've had my fair share of back trouble so I can understand how much it hurts and how much it restricts what you can do, my back is giving me trouble as I type this right now.

Had to put up with a bad back when I attended my first tech class when I went down to South Hedland during my Apprenticeship, not much fun at all having to sit bolt-upright just to be able to write in my exercise book during class, it felt like having a hot knife jabbed in my back whenever I went to write something.

Even just sitting in a chair the wrong way is enough to mess up your back.

Glad your better DB, hope Clarry hasn't moved too many of your tools around.
Look forward to seeing more of your builds and new things we have to look forward too.
    Thanks
    Kimball

You have a point kimball, surely Clarry could take over for a while, bet he carves a mean nut... That beak is perfect for it

I once got a parcel from DB with a muddy dingo paw print on it (awesome, kids loved it), I am beginning to wonder who or what actually does all the work, might have a workshop full of train native animals, DBs little helpers.....
