    Oh the memories

The mighty twin guitar attack of Wishbone Ash, this is a track from the first self titled album from what seems like a million years ago

This band was probably responsible for the best of purely guitar driven prog rock ( sorry Pesty, Muse and Rush just don't cut it and Radiohead are the instrumental version of Leonard Cohen )

So you get an almost uncontrollable urge to break out the razor blade and open a vein when you hear radiodead, unamuse and thrush as well, eh Dave?

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

Pretty much, bit it was a poor analogy because I do like most of Leonard Cohen's work

I officially disapprove of this thread.

Radiohead are hands down the greatest band of the last 25 years.

I had not heard of Wishbone Ash before. By the sound of it I'd say they're an influence for Porcupine Tree.

Here's a couple from BOC who are much better known but have the vastly underrated Buck Dhama on guitar and sharing the lead vocals

Well Cardiacs actually were an influence on Porcupine Tree and Muse (and Faith No More, Blur, Oceansize, Amplifier and plenty of other slightly left of centre bands.) This song has the greatest guitar solo ever released (or the worst depending on your opinion).

    Thanks for that DK,

I quite like the tone he gets from the LP as opposed to the PRS used in the 20th Anniversary Concert.

I've never heard Wishbone Ash DK but they sound pretty cool.
We will never agree on everyone's favourite band but that's cool if we all liked the same music life would be boring.

I'll have a look at some of the other YT vids in this thread, cheers all
